I appreciate everyone who came down to the City Council's Budget Workshop to speak out on the proposal to raise property taxes. While I clearly oppose a tax hike, I understand everyone is very passionate on both sides of the issue and it's always encouraging when someone takes time out of their busy day to let us know how they feel.
We need to think about Dallas, not just now but in the future. Raising taxes is not a good way to grow the economy. Thanks to everyone who has called, written, emailed and spoken to all of us at City Hall.
